About the event

Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the US Embassy in London,  Greater Manchester Combined Authority and Department for Business and Trade are inviting business in the region to join us for a roundtable to learn about trade and investment opportunities in GM's top export and import market for goods and services.

In 2021,  Total trade between GM and USA reached over£2.7bn making it our top exporting and importing market for goods and services.

British companies could be exporting an additional  an estimated £35bn to the USA across a wide range of sectors such as aerospace, automotive, machinery and electronic equipment, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, financial, IT and computer services, travel and more.

The roundtable session will be led by Brenda Van Horn, Commercial Counselor at the US Embassy in London.  The discussion will primarily focus on the areas mentioned in the Atlantic Declaration for cooperation between the U.S. and the UK -  AI, digital, Critical Minerals, SemiConductors, Nuclear, health and other Energy generation, although Brenda is also open to speaking to other companies interested in expansion as well.
