The Foundation Award is a nationally recognised Certificate in International Trade accredited by the British Chambers of Commerce and can be achieved by completed six BCC accredited modules.

Our Express International Trade Certificate programme enables you to achieve your award in just 3 days by completing a curated selection of modules. From fundamental export concepts to more intricate customs procedures, this intensive programme will teach you how to avoid costly mistakes and stay up to date with international trade processes.  

This programme focuses on giving you the practical tools essential for thriving in global markets. It allows you to understand your role and responsibilities as an exporter/importer and ensures you have the necessary skills to operate under HMRC procedures and remain compliant at all times.

The six modules below will be delivered over the three days in our offices at 151 Deansgate, M3 3WD Manchester. An assessment must be completed at the end of each module to receive the Award.

Lunch and refreshments are provided across the three days.

  • Export Documentation

  • Customs Procedures

  • Rules of Origin

  • Import Procedures

Who is this suitable for?

This programme is suitable to individuals engaged in international trade, regardless of experience, and will be relevant to beginners as well as experienced professionals seeking to refresh their export/import knowledge.

Whether you're in the logistics, sales, purchasing, or finance departments, the content covered is relevant to any staff involved in any aspect of the international trade process.

It is also an effective way to get your new starters up to speed as part of their onboarding training.

  • Standard:  £1,785 +VAT

  • Chamber Members:  £1,315+VAT

Please note payment must be made in full before the course.

Cancellation Terms

In case you are no longer able to attend this training course, please note you must cancel your place at least 5 working days before the course. The cancellation must be in writing and sent to exportbritain@gmchamber.co.uk indicating the name of the course you are cancelling for and delegate(s) details. If a booking is not cancelled and the delegate does not attend, full event costs will still apply.
