About the event
In January 2020, the International Chamber of Commerce officially published an updated version of its International Commercial Terms (Incoterms), which are an internationally recognised set of contract terms that define some of the practical arrangements for the delivery of goods.
Incoterms play a major role in international trade, particularly in contracts for the international trade of goods, as they provide a globally recognised set of terms used to define key aspects such as place of delivery, who bears responsibility for transporting and insuring the goods and customs clearance and defines when risk in the goods passes from the seller to the buyer. The Incoterms 2020 have introduced some key changes from the last version, published in 2010.
With Brexit looming, there is also likely to be significant focus on issues around customs and boarder clearance, and we therefore anticipate that the role of Incoterms is likely to become increasingly important in a post Brexit trading landscape.

Who should attend this event?
This event is suitable for both experienced and non-experienced exporters and importers of goods.
As we want to create a unique platform for exporters and importers to discuss, share best practice and access high-level expertise from the Chamber and our partners, we expect demand for attendance to be high and therefore registrations will be verified in order to ensure a non-sales environment.
Please note that companies in the legal sector are unable to attend this event.Â
Costs: This event is free of charge for GMCC members and £30+VAT for non-members. We limit registrations to 2 places per companies.
