On 14 December 2023, the Russia (Sanctions) (EU Exit) (Amendment) (No. 5) Regulations 2023 amended the Russia Sanctions Regulations.
This modification specifically restricts the importation of diamonds and diamond jewellery along with engaging, whether directly or indirectly, in acquiring, supplying, and delivering these goods
Additionally, the amended regulations prohibit the provision of technical assistance, financial services, funds, and brokering services related to these items. These measures are set to be enforced starting January 1, 2024.
