Connecting Women-Led Businesses to UK Markets: Our Work with ITC SheTrades

We’ve been delighted to partner with the International Trade Centre over the past few months, welcoming over 40 women-led businesses from Asia and Africa. These businesses represented a diverse range of sectors, including food and drink, fashion and beauty.

The ITC SheTrades Initiative works to remove barriers to women’s participation in trade by strengthening the competitiveness of women-owned businesses, promoting inclusive policies, and fostering connections with global markets. Through capacity-building, partnerships, and market access support, SheTrades contributes to a more inclusive, sustainable, and gender-responsive global economy.

As part of this programme, we successfully connected these overseas businesses with more than 30 UK buyers, and we look forward to seeing the opportunities and partnerships that emerge.

This builds on the success of a similar trade mission we hosted in February 2025, which generated an estimated £1,125,000 in business prospects and leads.
