New funding and support for Manchester Exporters

There is a major update for businesses trading internationally. Five of the UK’s largest banks -NatWest, HSBC UK, Barclays, Lloyds, and Santander - have pledged £11 billion to support British exporters.

Working with UK Export Finance (UKEF), this move is designed to make it easier for companies to get the loans and insurance they need to win bigger contracts and grow abroad.

The Roundtable: What’s in it for you?

To help local firms understand these changes, the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce and UKEF are holding a private meeting for business leaders. Instead of a general presentation, this is a small group discussion focused on:

  • Growing Safely: Practical ways to protect your cash flow when entering new markets.

  • The £11bn Pledge: How your business can actually access this new bank support.

  • Real Experiences: A chance to talk with other CEOs and Finance Directors about the barriers you are currently facing in global trade.

Who should attend?

This session is specifically for CEOs and Finance Directors of businesses that are already exporting to non-UK customers. We are looking for established firms (typically with a turnover of £1m+) to ensure the conversation is relevant for everyone in the room.

Event Details

  • When: 24th of February 2026 (10:00am – 12:00pm)

  • Where: The Tootal Buildings, Broadhurst House, 56 Oxford Street, Manchester, M1 6EU

How to book: We have kept the group small to make sure everyone can speak. If you would like to attend, please express your interest to international@gmchamber.co.uk
