Register to complete origin declarations under the UK-India Free Trade Agreement

HMRC has opened registration for UK exporters planning to self-certify origin under the UK-India Free Trade Agreement. If you intend to use preferential tariffs, you need to register before sending origin declarations to Indian Customs.

Who should register

UK producers or exporters sending UK-origin goods to India and planning to complete origin declarations.

What you need

 ▪️ EORI number

 ▪️ Business or trading name

▪️ One primary email, plus up to 10 additional emails for sending declarations to Indian Customs, linked to one EORI only.

How it works?

▪️ Agreement allows self-certification of origin, no certificate per consignment

▪️ After registering, complete the Annex 3B origin declaration for every consignment and send it to Indian Customs and your importer

▪️ If you do not use origin declarations, non-preferential tariffs are likely to apply.

Why this matters?

Faster paperwork, potential duty savings, smoother clearance for your Indian customers. Get set up before your next shipment.
